I  will keep updating my Ramadan Preps post , as I post new recipes.The list is huge but one at a time. It makes things easy and handy for me. At least tension free, when I know I have all the necessary stuff stocked up in my refrigerator and pantry

CHUTNEY 

  1. Imli Khajoor Chutney
  2. Green  coriander Chutney
  3. Laal Chutney
  4. Mint chutney
  5. Pulao Wali Chutney
  6. Mango Chutney
  7. Mango jam
  8. Tahini Dip

CONSERVE / POWDER FOR SHARBAT/MILKSHAKES

  1. Shikanji Ka Masala
  2. Cold Coco Mix
  3.  Strawberry  Cardamom Conserve
  4. Dry Fruit Powder
  5. Talbina Mix

ESSENTIAL MASALA & OTHER BASIC STUFF

  1. Ginger Garlic Paste
  2. Onion paste – Peel & Slice onion roughly. Grind to paste. Stores well for 15 days in refrigerator.
  3. Birasta ( Brown Onions)
  4. Garam Masala
  5. Thanda  Masala
  6. Dahi Bade ka Masala
  7. Thecha – Green Chilly Paste
  8. Angara Masala
  9. Achari Masala
  10. Roasted Milk Powder (an alternate to khoya) : On a low flame, dry roast milk powder to light brown. It gives a nutty aroma to the dessert . And is a good substiture for Khoya.
  11. Bread Crumbs :- Crumble fresh bread and keep it covered at room temperature for a day or two. Grind coarsely. Store in a glass bottle at room temperature. You can season the crumbs with herbs too

Chicken Samosa is a delicious  Indian snack. The best thing about this recipe is that it can be easily frozen for a month.

I am mostly finished with my Ramadan Preparation. And I am a bit relieved. At the least my food part is nearly over. I usually start my preps after 15th of Shaban. It has been kind of a ritual at my place to start all the preps after fifteen.I remember my nani used to make long lasting halwas in Shab e barat and say, this will last till the initial days of Ramadan. So not to worry about sweets for the initial days. As eating a little sweet after each meal is considered a Sunnat. So desserts are a must at my place. May it be a little piece of jaggery or dates.
