Pulao Wali Chutney is chutney served with varieties of Pulao & Biryani. It is type of Indian relish.
It was years and years ago on my visit to Delhi. It feels like a dream. From yearly visits it has been more that 15 years, I visited Delhi. Well my Bade Mamu lives there. And back in those day, our school vacation started with visit to Delhi and ending to my nani’s home in Jaipur. So on one of the visit, my married cousin had invited us at their home for dinner. And with Biryani she served this Chutney. The taste still lingers on my tongue.
So how did this chutney turned from Biryani wali chutney to Pulao Wali Chutney. As Delhi Biryani is with minimum of spices and that too whole garam masala spices dominate it. K gave it this name. I rarely make Delhi Biryani, as we love our Biryani with loads of masalas. And K also tells, it’s more of a fragrant pulao.
This chutney is a best side dish ,when you are in no mood for eating any raita or burhani along with Pulao or Biryani (I have a quite a variety of Pulao on my blog. You can check it out in search bar ) Biryani, I will try to update as I have one or two. While I prepare lots of varieties. Anyway, this chutney is more like a relish. So let’s check the recipe.
