Ande ka Halwa is a special dessert prepared during the month of Ramadan. Prepared for Iftari and it’s a delicious dessert to giveaway to neighbors and friends.
Desserts have a special place on iftar table during ramadan. My family has a sweet tooth. Plus for my iftar giveaways , I need to prepare daily different types of dessert. I have few egg based dessert on the blog like Ande Ka burada, Caramel pudding.
Today’s recipe of Ande ka Halwa is also very simple, easy and delicious. This recipe calls for eggs, condense milk, milk, almond powder , saffron, cardamom , milk powder & Ghee. This recipe calls for constant stirring. You cannot leave it unattended on the flame.
Serves 7 to 8
Ingredients
(I)
5 medium eggs or 4 large eggs
1/2 tin condense milk
1/3 cup milk
5 tbsp almond powder
4 pods of cardamom crushed
few strands of saffron
(II)
3 tbsp Ghee
4 tbsp milk powder
(III)
silver leaves for garnish (optional)
Method:
- In a bowl mix all ingredients (I)
- Pour all the mix liquid in non stick pan.
- Put on medium to low flame and cook stirring continuously in one direction.
- You will see the mixture has started forming lump. stir continuously.
- Once the mix starts leaving the pan, add ghee and milk powder.
- Keep stirring till the mix starts leaving the pan & ghee comes out of the sides.
- Remove and pour in serving plates or bowls
- Garnish with silver leaves and serve hot or at room temperature.
