A delicious and healthy version of a famous Indian dish ,Palak Paneer / Cottage cheese in Spinach gravy. Can be made in less than 10 minutes.
Hello peeps. So this is my new recipe for a healthy version of Palak Paneer. And the best thing is , it can be made within 10 minutes with only a teaspoon of ghee. You can also make the spinach/ palak curry in advance . It stays pretty good in refrigerator for a week. And also can be freezed. Still not convinced. Well let me explain the entire process to make it more easy peasy.
We start the process of making Palak Paneer by washing the spinach very nicely in water. Best process to clean spinach is the soak and drain method. At least two to three times depending on a mud. Now take a heavy bottom deep pan and place all the washed up spinach in it. Put it on a flame and cook for about a few seconds till the spinach releases its water. Now in a grinder jar, add the spinach along with its released water. To make it more delicious, we start adding the spices starting with ginger garlic, green chilly and all the powdered masalas. To balance the gravy we add yogurt or tomato, whatever is available. Grind it to a paste and keep aside. We start with our paneer/ cottage cheese. In a pan add some ghee, yes ghee. Ghee is good for health. Better than oil. You can use coconut oil too. So we heat up the ghee and fry up the paneer till it gets a little shades of brown color. Next goes in prepared gravy and cook till all water dries up till the desired consistency. This delicious and healthy Palak Paneer can be served with roti , naan & kulcha.
I have one more recipe of Palak paneer on the blog. You can check it here
