Those of you , who follow me must know my obsession with saffron. I love love saffron. I feel my desserts and sweets are incomplete without saffron. And I would prefer saffron any day over vanilla.Now it so happened that during Ramadan, we had an offer going on for cake mixes.
. And K brought the bunch of 3 boxes. That’s too much according to me. Well I am not a fan of cake mixes and love baking from scratch. Literally I racked my brains what to make of it. I went through google engines, pinterest to search what can be done. And the best I came across was cookies. So went along with the idea to make cookies . But I had to make my own flavoring. Vanilla , lemon , cinamon was a big no no for us. So here I am with these delicious cookies.

Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix
- 4 pods cardamom powdered
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbsp oil / butter
- Grind to form a powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp saffron
Instructions
- Mix cake mix, cardamom , egg, oil .
- Roll into 24 equal balls
- Coat with Saffron sugar
- Put on cookie sheet with atleast 1 inch apart
- Bake for 8 minutes in moderate oven or until edges are brown.
- Cookies will be soft once out of oven
- But will harden after completely cooling
