I love full meals.

And a meal is never complete without daal.

But what happens when the dal takes center stage.

Side tracking the veggies & some times the non veg too..

Hmmm!!! It mostly happens in my house.

And What about you?? Do share………..

  1. For an Indian family like ours, dhal dishes are always welcomed. But it always with rice. If there's balance, my other half will have it with bread for dinner.

I adore the such a dish, cooked with spices and coriander leaves for the fragrance.
  2. Glad to see this recipe here Humi!! Thx for the step-by-step pics. The dal looks awesome! It's my all-time fav dish, for which I have to rely solely on my mom...as I'm unable to recreate the magic of her hands! Will try your version...it looks quite similar to my mother's.

  6. Hi Humi,

We don't usually cook daal at home but your delicious daal fry has convinced me that this is a nice and fulfilling.

Nice to know that this dish is vegetarian and gluten free. Love to cook this for my celiac friend.
